High Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) introduces distortion in the information when MultiCarrierModulation (MCM) technique like Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) is used. OFDM is generally preferred when higher data rates are required. So it has become a requirement for the system which is using OFDM to diminish PAPR problem. So, in this paper we are proposing a novel technique in which we are using Selected Mapping (SLM) with clipping technique under Hadamard matrix based phase sequence designed in frequency domain. In the conventional SLM technique which uses multiple phase sequence possessing same length as that of the data sequence in order to diminish PAPR. Therefore, it is highly demanded that we have to propose a technique by which we can design phase sequence in frequency domain easily and can optimized the results in time domain. So, we have implemented an algorithm which design phase sequence in frequency domain conveniently and after transformation through inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) optimize in time domain accordingly. Along with this, we have hybridized clipping technique in time domain so that if in any case PAPR problem is found to be greater than certain threshold then it can clip it in the time domain sequence domain itself. Simulation results clearly provide the justification and efficiency of proposed algorithm as compared with conventional OFDM, SLM and Clipping technique. Proposed novel algorithm attains a significant gain (dB) of 2.85,2.65,2.35,2.05,2.60 and 2.70 in comparison with conventional OFDM system considering several number of sub carriers (N)=32,64,128,256,512 and 1024 respectively. Keywords

Partial transmitted sequence (PTS) is the most important technique for the minimization of problem peak to average power ratio (PAPR) found in multicarrier system i.e., Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). But PTS scheme undergo a very difficult and complex process of designing random phase sequences which are used for optimization of subblocks of data stream in time domain after applying Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) so that the problem PAPR can be minimized. Hence in this paper we are proposing a technique in which we have used hadamard matrix for the optimization of sub-blocks of data stream in time domain after IFFT along with discrete cosine transform. So this proposed technique drastically reduced the complexity of designing phase sequence and help in recovering the same information back at the receiver side with the help of index of individual rows of hadamard matrix. Simulation results are presented under multiple sub carriers (N)=64,128 and 256, classic frequency domain partition partial transmitted sequence(CFDP-PTS)=3 and 4 shows a significant gain (dB)of around 3.8 and 1.4 in comparison of conventional OFDM system and traditional PTS technique respectively under N=128 and CFDP=4.Keywords

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) undergoes a problem known as peak to average power ratio (PAPR).Selected mapping (SLM) and clipping are the efficient techniques to diminish the PAPR. Hence, in this paper, a frequency domain cyclic shift sequence (FDCSS) based scheme combined with SLM and clipping technique is proposed for the reduction of PAPR. Careful selection of the shifting values, clipping level, and phase sequence reduces PAPR and improves the performance OFDM system. The results of this novel scheme are validated through Matlab simulations under various phase sequences, sub-carriers and shifting values. Keywords

The present study attempts to examine the relationship between the presence of foreign directors on the board of the newly listing companies and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) on listing day returns. Sample of 367 IPOs issued in India from 2004 to 2014 are examined and the average initial excess return which measures IPO underpricing is found to be 21 percent. Taking lead from existing literature on IPO underpricing, various board related, issue related and company related variables are examined and a significant relationship of issue size, level of subscription, and professional associations of the directors with the initial day returns is observed in this study. Furthermore, it is found that only 28% of the sample companies have foreign directors present on their board at the time of IPO. The findings imply that the presence of the foreign directors on board does not curtail IPO underpricing. Keywords

The present study is an attempt to contribute to the extent literature on the Initial Public Offering (IPO) underpricing as it distinctively examines the relationship between the quality certifications used by issuers and the listing day returns of IPOs. The uniqueness of this study also lies in being one of the initial efforts to explore the quality certifications used by the issuers at the time of IPO in India. A sample period of 11 years, that is, 2004-2014, is examined. The average initial excess return (IPO underpricing) is observed at 21%. Taking a lead from the existing literature on IPO underpricing, various board-related, issue-related, and company-related variables were considered for an empirical analysis. It has been observed that the issue-related variables namely, issue size, listing delay, subscription ratio, and financial leverage, are significant. In addition, proxies used for management quality namely, professional associations of the board members, presence of female directors, and role duality, also significantly explain the IPO underpricing. These findings are consistent with Chemmanur and Paeglis (2005) and Reutzel and Belsito (2015).Keywords

Present study is an attempt to examine the listing day market performance of public issues floated by hospitality and tourism firms in India. During the sample period of 15 years (from January 2004 to March 2018) the average initial day Market Adjusted Excess Return (MAER) was found to be 18.8%. Further, the average return of travel support services segment was observed to be highest within the sector. The findings of the study are consistent with Chen and Chen, (2010).Keywords
